Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers is updating its facilities to enhance the speed and efficiency of the passenger experience.
Here are just some of the improvements you can expect in the near future:
- A planned centralized security screening checkpoint will service all concourses, along with modernizations of airline ticket and gate areas: Currently underway, planned completion date is March 2020.
- RSW traffic control tower: Work has begun on the new 200-foot tall control tower. The tower is located midfield between the existing runway and the future parallel runway. Planned completion date is July 2021.
- Terminal expansion: Expected completion date is March 2020.
