Calling all eco-conscious conservationists, wannabe fashion designers, and “trashionistas”!

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 10, 2020, and Project Refuge: A Couture Fashion Show Using Trash. The fashion show and “Twist Tie Optional Luncheon” will take place at The Sanctuary Clubhouse on Sanibel Island, part of the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge.

The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge (DDWS), which is hosting the event, is currently accepting applications for fashion designs made from recycled and repurposed materials to be modeled on the runway that day. The reimbursable entry deposit is $50. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 1, 2019.

Tickets for Project Refuge will go on sale Nov. 1, 2019, for $100 each, which includes the show and luncheon.

Visit www.projectrefugeding.com for an entry application, to purchase tickets (after Oct. 31), and to learn more about the event!
