The Alliance for the Arts is bringing the Stardust Memories Big Band to its amphitheater stage for an outdoor concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Coolers, blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged as concert-goers enjoy some of the greatest hits of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey and others.

A Wizarding Experience

The Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra will perform music from “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, as part of a video/movie experience.

The concert will feature the live symphony orchestra performing, to picture, every note from “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Audiences will be able to relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a 40-foot screen while hearing the orchestra perform John Williams’ score.  » Read more
