The newborn babies are a wonderful sight to see.  We had nervously waited over six weeks for the osprey hatchlings to announce themselves, and had almost given up hope until lo and behold our guest cameraman delivered these awesome baby photos!

Sea Turtle Nesting Season has Begun — Part 2

On Sanibel and Captiva, more than 100 island residents volunteer each year as part of the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s Sea Turtle Research and Monitoring Program.

Sea Turtle Nesting Season has Begun — Part 1

A 2005 fossil find in Queensland, Australia, indicated that sea turtles lived more than 110 million years ago. Even centuries ago, sea turtles roamed our oceans by the millions. Noah’s Ark, an operation of St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, is popular with islanders, many of whom visit the shop nearly every day and know one another by name.  » Read more
