Mermaid Smiles
Our friend Don is at it again! But who can blame him with such beautiful inspiration?
Don’s 12-year-old granddaughter, Claire, was his muse for this whimsical little poem:
Mermaid Smiles
Beautiful smiles are a wonderful thing
But what would a mermaid’s smile bring
Up from the pool, tail splashing around
Wonderful sight, but questions abound

The Sound of Birds
Sanibel is a popular winter sanctuary for our “snowbird” guests and over 200 varieties of beautiful birds migrating from the north. Avian splendor emanates from the island skies.
Don Tremblay, our loyal winter guest of 25 years, says there are
many things about Ocean’s Reach and Sanibel that he loves. But one thing in particular that he enjoys
is listening to the sound of birds–the chirping and singing heard
throughout the day and throughout the island–even while playing his
favorite sport at his favorite course with his favorite Ocean’s Reach

Don loves Ocean’s Reach, and several years ago started to create custom shirts for his family’s annual stay here, with a different color featured each year.
He very graciously brings a few extras for the staff, which are always met with smiles and much appreciation!

Parisian born Chef Christian Vivet, along with his South Floridian wife and business partner Mari Vivet opened Bleu Rendez-Vous French Bistro on Sanibel Island in May 2015. Their previous bistro, Blue Windows French Bistro in Fort Myers, had a loyal following from the island.
