Avoiding the industrial feel of most cooking schools, here the cooking suites put a high value on comfort. Each cooking station is equipped with a professional knife set, an induction burner, comfortable chair, and the same residential-style appliances that can be found in many home kitchens.
No culinary experience, no problem, according to Kitchen Social’s professional chefs. They promise an experience all about fun, food and friends, learning amazing meals you can easily duplicate once you arrive back home.
Most meals are four courses, and the appetizers are prepared ahead of time so people have something to nosh on while they cook.
A sample menu: white bean and vegetable salad with balsamic dressing, fennel and garlic pork-loin chops, rice pilaf and lemon sorbet for dessert. The school also offers homemade pasta classes, pizza classes, vegan classes and an entire class on preparing a proper English high tea.
