Some Delectable News

Thanks to our friends at The Jac for the scrumptious news!

Visitors can now indulge in a sinfully delicious slice of cake at The Jac. The new scratch kitchen on Periwinkle Way has added Harriette Mattson, a well-known baker who for 37 years owned and operated the popular Harriette’s Restaurant in Key Largo.

Harriette’s Restaurant became a beloved destination for its one-of-a-kind, nearly 8-ounce muffins. Some of the most popular flavors included key lime and coconut, guava and cream cheese and chocolate coconut. Now, Mattson is taking it up a notch at The Jac with mouthwatering cakes.

Whether you have a birthday or anniversary to celebrate, a dinner party to plan or a major sweet tooth to curb, The Jac’s new cakes are a must-have. Mattson’s coconut cake has quickly become a fan favorite. Other delectable options include rum cake, chocolate ganache, strawberry cake, and her authentic key lime cake. Each oversized slice is just $8, or customers can pre-order an entire cake starting at $30.

With fall approaching, Mattson is getting ready with seasonal desserts. Soon, visitors to The Jac will be able to enjoy delectable pumpkin spice bread with nuts, and come December, it’ll be time for orange cranberry nut bread.

There’s a sweet reward for everyone at The Jac. Guests who want to let loose can step out to the brand-new Back Bar, open daily from 4 p.m. to midnight, featuring live music every Tuesday-Saturday.

The Jac is open for lunch and dinner every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. To see their menu and full event calendar, visit thejacsanibel.com.
