You’ve heard of horseback riding, but what about horseback swimming?
Cypress Breeze Farm Trail Riding of Pinellas Park offers an unforgettable adventure where the horses wade into Tampa Bay, out to a sandbar, and then swim back to shore.
Anyone 12 and older can ride, and it’s open to riders of all skill levels, including beginners. Riders must be able to swim.
Over the course of the hour-long ride, the horses journey around the beaches of North Skyway Park (off the Sunshine Skyway), into Tampa Bay along a sandbar, and eventually into the Gulf of Mexico.
The horses are extremely well-trained draft horses that have been provided with top-of-the-line physical and emotional care. In turn, they enjoy swimming, are easy to handle and comfortable and safe to ride.
