“All the best heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary.” — Gerard Way
Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!
Oops — Wrong superhero!
Disguised as mild-mannered handyman-extraordinaire John Seymour from Eclipse Restoration, this superhero is actually one of our favorite contractors to call to help keep Ocean’s Reach condos looking as nice as they do.
We’ve just learned his secret identity is Captain Canned Goods, who in a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way, is also helping the Salvation Army this year by visiting 81 schools in the area to encourage children to collect canned goods for the Salvation Army’s annual food drive.
Last year, area students collected more than 80,000 cans of food, enough for 2,196 families (10,956 people) to receive special food baskets at Christmastime, with the remaining food used for the Salvation Army’s food pantry.
They say that there’s a superhero in all of us, and we just need to put on the cape.
Way to go, John — We’re very proud of you!
