Will and Nicole M., longtime guests from Decator, Texas, shared a touching secret with us during their last visit here. Nicole explained how they found a special way to honor their loved ones at their favorite vacation place.
“We placed the first lock in the tree in 2013 when my dad, who traveled with us yearly to Ocean’s Reach, passed. He loved the beach and loved shelling at Ocean’s Reach. In 2016, Will lost his dad and grandma within months of each other. so it was only fitting to place locks for them in the tree, too. It is so heartwarming that, even after the trees are trimmed, the locks always remain.”
