Our friend Don is at it again! But who can blame him with such beautiful inspiration?
Don’s 12-year-old granddaughter, Claire, was his muse for this whimsical little poem:
Mermaid Smiles
Beautiful smiles are a wonderful thing
But what would a mermaid’s smile bring
Up from the pool, tail splashing around
Wonderful sight, but questions abound
Green and blue tail, fast as a gale
But definitely not as big as a whale
Photos and poses, smiles and more
Diving down and touching the floor
Nothing else needed at Ocean’s Reach
But there are more smiles at the beach J
