While many Floridians may be staying at home, other mammals are taking advantage of the low boat traffic and using this time free of human activity to their advantage.

There have been many recent reports of an influx of marine wildlife, including some species that haven’t been seen often in past years.

According to a nonprofit organization Miami Waterkeeper, there have been dozens of sightings and increased reports of wildlife in various areas of the state.

Less boat traffic combined with minimal rainfall has also led to the water in Florida becoming much clearer, leading to more marine sightings of dolphins, manatees, sharks, and others.

I guess this is what you call a silver lining of sorts!
