What a fun find! Thanks very much to long-time owner Doug Armantrout who sent us these photos of a near washout of the Ocean’s Reach pool in the late 1970s.
Doug reported that no major storms hit our area during that timeframe and that the severe erosion was caused just by high tide.
He said “It took some major effort to bring in big rocks (3′ diameter or more) to anchor all the fill-in. Without those rocks, we could have lost the pool in the next storm.”
