This year’s “Battle on the Blueway” will be held June 8th on the Calusa Blueway at scenic Crescent Beach Family Park on Fort Myers Beach.
The sanctioned World Paddle Association points event, which benefits the Lee County Special Olympics, will feature two distance races (2 mile and 7 mile), along with a children’s race, Special Olympics race, demonstrations, and paddling merchandise. In addition, area non-profits will be displaying an assortment of historical artifacts and nature materials.
This is a family-oriented event with a festival atmosphere that brings paddling and Florida’s native wildlife and Calusa heritage together.
