WoW – What a great way to start off the New Year!
“Ding” Darling’s new Wildlife on Wheels (WoW) urban mobile classroom is ready to roll! This month, WoW will start making appearances at under-represented schools throughout Southwest Florida to help teach area youth about wildlife conservation.
Learning stations will interpret mangrove ecosystems, water quality, water conservation, pollution and plastic, animal scats and tracks, Florida’s native animals, and wildlife sounds.
In addition to schools, WoW is scheduled to visit libraries, conservation-minded events, and economically challenged and minority communities in our five-county area, with the help of new bilingual educators, volunteers and interns.
