So Well Deserved!

F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service Here) of Sanibel-Captiva has been named a 2018 TopRated Nonprofit by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.

“Thirty-six years ago, we were a small group of islanders helping our neighbors with a few services,” said Maggi Feiner, FISH president and CEO. “Now, with many different programs, services and workshops, full time social workers, administrative professionals and a team of volunteers, FISH is truly a unique organization. We are a human services organization, focused on ‘neighbors helping neighbors.’”

The mission of FISH is to lend a helping hand to those who live, work or visit here. The FISH vision is to enrich the lives of everyone on Sanibel and Captiva islands through an array of food programs, island-based workshops, social services and Helping Hands.

FISH provides a wide range of services including home meal delivery, a food pantry, adult and youth scholarships, transportation and medical equipment for loan, and more.

Through this amazing organization last year:

  • More than 760 families visited the FISH food pantry, where more than 151,000 pounds of food was distributed.
  • Volunteers logged more than 6,150 hours of service and drove nearly 34,000 miles to bring meals to their neighbors, deliver them to medical appointments, and pick up food and medical supplies.
  • Professional staff aided in more than 600 instances of emergency financial assistance and, during Hurricane Irma, lent a hand to 562 island neighbors.

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is the based on the rating and number of reviews that FISH received from volunteers, donors and aid recipients. As a client wrote, “FISH provided a haven of support when I found myself in an unexpected and traumatic emergency. Their generous gifts of short term housing, food and transportation helped me gain the strength I needed to persevere through a crisis. Their love and support for our residents and guests improve the quality of life for us all.”

I’m well over 40. My wife and I have been together for 15 years (this is my second marriage). I’m always busy at work, constantly stressed, and there’s this- I can’t feel like a man anymore…. Anyway, I started to look for the potency enhancers on the Internet. And I found information about Levitra on website https://levivard.com. Of course, I’ve heard of Viagra and Levitra before. At first, my wife was surprised by the change in my condition, and on the next day I told her about Levitra.

“FISH is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with them.”
