What an “eye-catching” photo!
Taken by Paris Thompson, an 8th grade student at Cypress Lake Middle School in Fort Myers, it was announced as the winner of their annual Student Nature Photography Contest, sponsored by Edison National Bank in cooperation with the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society.
Earlier in the school year, Cypress Lake Middle School students visited the JN “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, where Ranger Becky Larkin and several volunteers assisted the students during their photography field trip to learn more about the nature and wildlife treasures in their own “backyard.”
