The fastest growing sport in America is in full swing on Sanibel! Pickleball combines tennis, badminton and table tennis and has quickly become a favorite of both leisure players and competitive athletes.
In late spring, our neighbors at Sundial Beach Resort on Middle Gulf Drive will welcome a new Pickleball complex, complete with twelve state-of-the art Plexicushion courts.
Sundial’s courts will be open to Ocean’s Reach guests for a small fee, and you’re also invited to join in the fun there with tournament play, round robins, lessons and clinics. The resort plans to host USA Pickleball Association tournaments later in the year, including competition for all levels and ages. For more information, call 239-395-6037.
Of course, if you want to get a little practice in beforehand, you’re always welcome to play on the Ocean’s Reach pickleball court at no charge, and equipment is complimentary for guests, too!
