Three Cantors and a Pastor

Mark your calendars!

The Bat Yam Temple of the Islands will host “Three Cantors and a Pastor,” a free musical program on March 1 beginning at 4 p.m., which will include liturgical music, light classics, pop songs, Broadway songs and sing-a-longs.

The performers will be led by Bat Yam’s Cantor Murray Simon, who will be joined by Pastor John Danner of the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ and, back by popular demand, Cantor Elizabeth Shammash of Tiferet Bet Israel in Blue Bell, PA.

Cantor Rachel Brook of Park Avenue Synagogue in New York, NY, will be joining the group for the first time.  Cantor Brook, a former student of Cantor Simon, has sung at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and Jazz at Lincoln Center, as well as throughout the U.S., Italy and Bulgaria.

Last year’s interfaith concert played to a capacity audience, and this year’s event is sure to be just as successful.  It will be held at the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ at 2050 Periwinkle Way.  For information, contact [email protected].
