Angels of the water, sirens of the sea
Whispering their sweet love songs
Calling out to me
Ooh lalalala
Every night and every day
Sitting by the Gulf Coast
Just a thousand miles away
Where they cry
Ooh lalalala
On an island I will dwell
Starlit nights in paradise
On the Isle of Sanibel
“SANIBEL” by Denny Sarokin
Recorded by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
A pristine coastline. Shells in abundance. Swaying palm trees. The soothing rhythm of the tides.
It’s how we’ve come to define the romance of Sanibel.
This Valentine’s Day, things look a little different on the island, but it won’t be long before we’ll be able to restore and revitalize this cherished little corner of the world.
In the meantime, we thought we’d begin using our blog to reminisce about beloved memories of Sanibel and Ocean’s Reach.
Send us your favorite recollections — photos, stories, songs, or poetry – and we’ll try to publish them occasionally, along with updates on our rebuilding efforts, so that we can all continue to count the days until we’re able to welcome you back to “starlit nights in paradise on the Isle of Sanibel.” Click here to view a lovely music video we found from Figbar Films!
Please email your favorite memories to dina@oceansreach.com or beach@oceansreach.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
