Ocean’s Reach held an official Ribbon Cutting ceremony yesterday to celebrate our long-awaited reopening after Hurricane Ian devastated Sanibel Island 840 days ago.
To say it’s been a long two-plus years is an understatement, but -- together with support from our Ocean’s Reach family and our island community – we’ve stayed focused, resilient, and “Sanibel Strong”!
We are finally able to roll out our welcome mat again for guests and couldn’t be more excited! Reservations for future stays can be booked both by phone – 800-336-6722 – and online through our brand new website at oceansreach.com.
As a reminder, we offer Saturday-to-Saturday stays during our high season (January through April) and more flexible scheduling the remainder of the year (May through December).
We can’t wait for you to see the “new” Ocean’s Reach! The condo units themselves have been rebuilt “from the studs on up” giving owners the opportunity to procure the latest in furnishings, flooring, tiling and appliances. All of our amenities – including our beachfront pool, tennis / pickleball court, croquet area, shuffleboard court, shell cleaning station, and “The Grove” barbeque and outdoor dining area – are new and shiny, too!
While we have officially reopened, the damage from storms this past fall have prevented us from having everything up and running just yet. Some of our units are still awaiting final touches, and we hope that final inspections on our pool and elevators will be completed by the end of the month.
All of us at Ocean’s Reach are thrilled to be a part of Sanibel’s resurgence! More than 170 restaurants, shops, lodgings and attractions are now back in operation on the island and more continue to reopen each day.
