Sanibel is welcoming in the new year with three new island restaurants!
After 27 years in business, Matzaluna said arrivederci in November, making way for a new Italian restaurant and bar, Tutti Pazzi, to open later this month.
Tutti Pazzi — which means “We’re all crazy” in Italian — will remain family friendly and thoroughly Italian, but with a few modern twists, according to co-owners Leanna and Pasquale Russo and Debra and Jeramie Campana, the latter of whom also run Paper Fig Kitchen and 400 Rabbits on Sanibel.
The Campana’s also recently opened The Fig East in the former East End Deli space. The gourmet-convenience-store concept offers many of the same dishes Chef Jeramie Campana makes at Paper Fig Kitchen, but in a market-style takeout format that’s more beach friendly.
And to complete the trio of new restaurants, the Campana’s have also teamed up with their 400 Rabbits partners, Don and Cleta Yamauchi, for Bamboo, a new pan-Asian restaurant that recently opened in the former Il Tesoro space.
