It was another awesome night for spaghetti lovers on Sanibel. Over 1,200 residents and vacationers nixed eating-in and stood patiently in line for their turn at the annual all-you-can-eat Kiwanis spaghetti dinner.
Diners were treated to an awesome homemade Italian feast of pasta and meatballs served with the Kiwanis’s famous zesty marinara sauce; salad, toasted garlic bread, and soda or wine, all for the low price of $9.00 at the door.
It’s an ambitious feat serving up such a filling, tasty dinner on Sanibel to over a thousand hungry appetites. Volunteer servers, cooks and cleaners hustle throughout the night at the snug Community House encouraging guests to “Eat Up, Drink Up, Get Up!”
Proceeds from the crowd-pleasing event support multiple children’s charities.
