A Face Lift for Cielo

The staff at the renamed Cielo invites everyone to come see their brand new look.

“It needed a facelift, big time,” Manager Chuck Grover said, adding that the initial discussion had focused on minor updates. “We were thinking of repainting, and repainting turned into wow.”

He explained that their recently completed project opened up the dining room and relocated the bar toward the front entrance. A new kitchen was installed, along with ventilation, electric, a sound system and more. The dining room and bathrooms were also completely renovated.

Once covered in browns and beiges, the decor at the restaurant now pops with a new “edgy tropical” feel.

The restaurant also hired two new mixologists who have hand-crafted a new menu of drinks and after-dinner thoughts.

As for the menu, customers will still find their favorite dishes. However, Executive Chef Melissa Akin spent the summer upgrading what each dish is made of, meeting with local farmers and purveyors to secure the freshest organic ingredients.

While Cielo is Italian for “sky,” the restaurant serves up a variety of cuisines from all over the world.

Cielo is open seven days a week, with happy hour from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Dinner is served from 4:30 to 9 p.m., with Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Live piano starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday.
