The 3rd annual Summer SingerSongwriter Competition returns to the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center on Friday, August 23.
Experience an evening of original music from local and national competitors. See performers play for a chance to win a spot at the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, plus bragging rights, prizes and a trophy.
Singer-songwriters have been invited to submit an original song to be considered for this year’s competition. The most remarkable performances are pre-selected to play live at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center during the competition.
A panel of judges select a grand prize winner, who will receive a performance spot at the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, plus a trophy and a prize donated by an area business. The audience will also have a chance to participate when they vote for the People’s Choice winner.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m. Cost is $5 to attend.
