The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce recently received approval from the City of Sanibel to celebrate Luminary 2021 in traditional fashion on Friday, December 3.
In its 37th year of bringing holiday cheer to the islands, Luminary will again light up Periwinkle Way and surrounding pathways with candlelight and goodwill for residents and visitors alike.
As in years past, Sanibel will celebrate Luminary on Dec. 3 and Captiva on Dec. 4. In addition to the beautiful candle-lined walkways, festivities will include live music, decorations, sidewalk sales and other retail deals, and free refreshments. Limited-edition Luminary Lager will be on tap, brewed in partnership with Point Ybel Brewing Company.
“We invite everyone to don their holiday garb and come out to greet neighbors and new friends in a revived atmosphere of fellowship,” chamber President and Chief Executive Officer John Lai said.
