Spaghetti Time!

Throwback photo of our “we-can’t-do-without-him” IT guru, James, enjoying the annual Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner with his beautiful daughter in 2016.

It’s that time again!

The annual Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner will feature an all-you-can-eat Italian feast, with pasta, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, wine and sodas as well as raffles, a live auction and a silent auction at The Community House on Saturday, February 23. Dinner is served from 4 to 8 p.m.

A wide range of unusual merchandise and gift items are coming together for this year’s annual event, including jewelry items, artwork and crystal, bikes and sporting equipment, toys, tools, electronics, clothing items and plenty of gift certificates for local restaurants.

Before the raffle and auction begin, attendees are treated to the spaghetti dinner served by the members of the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club. Admission is $10 in advance or $11 at the door. Children under age 10 eat for free. Advance tickets can be purchased from any Kiwanis member — including Andy! — or at Bank of the Islands, Bailey’s General Store, and Sanibel Captiva Community Bank.

Funds raised at the dinner are used by the Kiwanis Charitable Foundation to benefit community youth of the islands, through scholarship and youth recreational programs. Over 26 different local groups and programs receive support from the spaghetti dinner proceeds, making this event one of the most treasured on the island!

If you want to make plans to enjoy next year’s event, give us a call!  The event is always held the last Saturday in February.
