The Spirit Tree

Next time you’re on Sanibel-Captiva Road, stop by In the Garden at R.S. Walsh Landscaping to support their “Spirit Tree” that benefits an assortment of non-profits on the island.

The Olive tree was chosen as it represents love and charity.  Displayed last fall, Spirit Tree donations have already benefited the Sanibel Community House, the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum and C.R.O.W., the Clinic for the Rehabilitation for Wildlife.

Canvas spirit tree tags can be purchased at the garden center gift shop for $5.00.  Purchasers can write well-wishes or blessings on the tags and attach them to the tree.  In The Garden will match all tag sales.

“We invite everyone to stop by and add their good thoughts, well-wishes and blessings to our spirit tree,” said Lisa Walsh, owner of In The Garden and R.S. Walsh Landscaping. “All tag sales will be donated to different local charity each month through April.”

In The Garden is located at 3889 Sanibel Captiva Road, across from the Sanibel School, and is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
