“Get Ready” for The Temptations!

Named the “No. 1 R&B/Hip Hop Artists of All Time,” The Temptations are truly a national treasure.

Otis Williams, the sole surviving original Temptation, Ron Tyson, a lead vocalist with the group for 37 years, Terry Weeks, a lead vocalist for 23 years, and Willie Greene, Jr., base vocalist with the group for four years, are still serenading fans with their soulful voices, lighting up stages with their famous Temptations’ Walk, and bringing joy to audiences of all ages.

The Temptations will perform Friday, January 24 at the BIG ARTS Gala Grand Opening fundraiser, the first time the highly anticipated new performing arts building will be open to the public.

Accompanied by 13 world-class musicians, the beloved group will show why they’ve been named one of the “125 Greatest of All Time Artists” by Billboard Magazine, as well as one of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” by Rolling Stone Magazine.

The Temptations are currently the subject of the smash-hit Broadway musical, “Ain’t Too Proud,” which opened on March 21, 2019. The musical won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Choreography and continues to captivate thousands of theatergoers during sold-out performances on the Great White Way. Plans are underway for a national tour starting July 2020, in more than 50 cities for 100-plus weeks.

Tickets for the BIG ARTS Gala Grand Opening fundraiser are $750 per person and include complimentary valet parking, a lavish full-seated gourmet dinner buffet and full open bars. Post-concert, the merriment continues with a live band and dancing in the garden with open bars,  sumptuous desserts including handmade crepes and a coffee and tea café. Tickets are limited and only available by calling BIG ARTS at 239-395-0900.
