The Edison and Ford families left an incredible legacy in Fort Myers, where the two celebrated innovators spent their winters nurturing their friendship in neighboring homes.
The Edison and Ford Winter Estates opened to the public in 1947, when Mina Edison deeded the property to the City of Fort Myers. It has become one of our area’s most popular attractions, a place where people can continue to learn and be inspired by all that these two extraordinary gentlemen accomplished.
While currently closed for an undetermined amount of time, the Estates continue to educate and inspire the public through their new social media video series “Edison Ford Goes Virtual.”
